Why I am getting an error in TicketLCC or Ticket GDS API "seat code matching issue please contact support team" while booking domestic roundtrip flight?

This error generally occurs in domestic roundtrip flight bookings when the seat/fare segment details of the outbound and inbound journeys are not matched correctly during ticketing.

In roundtrip bookings, the system treats Outbound (OB) and Inbound (IB) flights as separate segments, and both must be processed properly with the correct SSR and Seatmap data.

Common Reasons for This Issue

• Incorrect Roundtrip Booking Flow
  For domestic roundtrip, you must follow the correct process:

  1. Search API → Get 2 ResultIndex (OB & IB)

  2. FareQuote API must be hit twice

     • Once for Outbound

     • Once for Inbound

  3. Booking API must be hit twice

     • Once for Outbound

     • Once for Inbound

  4. Ticket API must be hit separately for both segments

• Mixing Outbound and Inbound ResultIndex
  If OB and IB ResultIndex are swapped or combined incorrectly, the seat code mapping fails.

Recommendation

To resolve this issue:

•  Ensure you are following the correct domestic roundtrip flow
•  Use separate ResultIndex and FareQuote responses for OB and IB
•  Complete booking and ticketing without delay
