Are seat, meal, and baggage details mandatory at the Hold stage, or are they required only during ticketing?
If you have received the Meal and Baggage data in SSR API response and Seatmap data in Seat map API response then Seat, meal, and baggage information must be provided at the Hold API stage. These details are not accepted during the Ticket API stage.
Therefore, if seat, meal, or baggage selection is required for a booking, it should be passed while creating the hold request itself.
Note:- Seat, meal, and baggage selection is optional.
If a customer wants to book a ticket without SSR or seat selection, they can proceed with the booking.
If a customer wants to book a ticket with SSR and seat selection, they can select the available SSR and seat options provided in the API response and pass the selected details during Hold in GDS airline booking.
