SRDV expert guidanceWhat is test API certification?

Test API Certification means the process of verifying that your API integration is working correctly before you are allowed to use the live API.

In simple terms: When you integrate a Travel API (Flight, Hotel, Bus, Car, etc.), the company first gives you a test environment. You must perform certain test cases in that environment, such as:

API search is working correctly

Pricing, availability, and data are coming properly

Booking requests are sent in the correct format

Booking confirmation responses are handled correctly

Cancellation (if required) are working properly

Once you complete all these test cases successfully, the company checks your integration and certifies that everything is correct. This verification process is called Test API Certification.

Purpose of Test API Certification:

  • To prevent errors in the live system

  • To ensure your application is stable and ready for real transactions

⇒ After completing the certification, you receive the live API credentials to make real bookings.
